Delicious & Affordable Thai.There are many options for Thai in Long Beach, yet May's Thai is in the Top 3 Category. It has established itself, has an affordable range, and variety in dish options. The yellow curry is incredibly flavorful, fried rice is on-point, and the Thai Iced Tea satisfies the sweet craving. Try it at least once, if you haven't already.

Yummy fish made by the chef. staff is always available for the help. Atomosphere is also great.

I tried this spot in the past with my friend and I am obsessed since then. I liked the fantastic mood and flavorful dishes and drinks. Kudos.

Mai's has been my go-to Thai restaurant. I just took home the absolute worst Pad Thai that I had ever eaten. No eggs, no sauce, no spice. I tried to fix it with curry, but just had to throw it away.

May is not only a good chef, she can also teach how to cook Thai food. I was many times there and had always a positive experience. It's small but very good.

The Pad Thai is one of the best I have had, it comes on a huge plate, I usually have enough for lunch the next day and It's only $9, I highly recommend it.

My first experience with this restaurant was not so great when I ordered for delivery. It took a lot longer than I expected. The food however was delicious. Spent like $80 to feed 8 people. Worth every penny. Got coconut soup, pad thai, beef jerky, beef fried rice, seafood soup, beef satay and Thai tea for everyone. The beef jerky and soup was amazing.This will be my second experience. I came in to eat with my boyfriend and it was awesome. Got the food right away and every thing was delicious. Ordered angel wings and yellow chicken curry. Yummy.

After a 6+ hr drive from Cupertino (Apple City), my family decided to dine out at May's Kitchen. Although The place was busy, the service was great, and the food was excellent! Authentic and Tasty !!!

This place was awful. The lady who took my order looked irritated with me when I was asking her opinion on what to order. They took forever to bring out our food. She didn't give us utensils or napkins, my son had to steal some from the table next to us. The food was ok, but since the service was so bad, we won't be going back there.

The food was superb. Takes an extra minute or two but Well worth it. Service was excellent, friendly and energetic. Will definitely recommend to my friends

The food is authentic and tasty and is the reason people keep coming back. The presentation of the food is very rustic and could use a bit of refining. The tom yum soup would be spectacular if the fibrous lemongrass was removed from the soup. The panang curry in this kitchen is a unique version and is always rich and hearty. The purple rice is a most unusual variety with an earthy flavor that strangely meshes with any of the curries. The dining area could also use a little flair as it is kind of dark and is screaming for a little bit of atmosphere and vibe. The service is good and servers are always friendly and informative if you have questions about the menu.

Nothing comes to the table without proprietor, chef, and teacher; May, ensuring its perfect. Never fails to thrill my palette and romance my appetite. Best Thai food in LB! Hands down.Update (1/11/17): May's has new owners who also bought her recipes, thank goodness. Alas, it's not the same vibe and the love is mostly gone from the food and service. Mink Quan takes back first favorite Thai food joint.

Haven't been here in years. Worst meal ever had. Chicken dish cooked in fish oil....strong fish flavor. Satay chicken???where did they get compact stringy chicken. Has put me off thai food for a while😣

I love pad thai noodles with chickem and shrimp . I like the chicken satay with the amazing peanut sauce and the cucmber salad I cant get enough of I order extra so good fresh and light .

May's is the quintessential "neighborhood family-owned restaurant". One of those little gems where the locals know that the food is always good, the service is excellent, and you can simply relax and enjoy a good meal with friends or that special someone. Hard to go wrong here. A note on my scores: I only give a "3" for the most-exceptional examples I find in each category. A "2", as I've given here, means exactly what Google intended: Very Good.

Went there on a Saturday evening, place was a little busy, but owner/mgr should anticipate that. Service was very poor, waiter forgot our order and we sat almost half an hr before they came back and asked us again what we ordered??!! Like they forgot to tell the cook, but within few minutes after that the meal was served fresh & hot. Tried the pad thai, tasted great, but again every time we needed service the waiter would forget and we had to wait and wait and wait. Not good, I doubt I'll go back.

Best Thai in Long Beach! Also good vegetarian options for all you vagetarians...
